Full in-depth investigation
From indication to substantiated report.
We investigate the real estate in the name of the person concerned in detail: where it is located, in whose name it is registered, since when and how it was acquired.
What the investigation is
A full and detailed picture of the ownership.
Has a pre-check produced indications, or does your case require further substantiation? Where the pre-check only indicates whether there are assets and what type of assets they are, the full in-depth investigation provides a full and detailed picture. We map the real estate in the name of the person concerned: which properties are involved, where they are located, in whose name they are registered and since when.
You receive a clear and detailed report in English, usually within 2 to 4 weeks.
Where relevant and possible, we also investigate the ownership share, the date of acquisition, the method of acquisition, such as purchase, inheritance or donation, and earlier ownership registrations. This makes both current and former ownership visible.
The investigation is carried out by lawyers and appraisers who are authorised in the country under investigation, in accordance with local legislation. See also the countries in which we carry out investigations. As far as the country allows, they consult the land registry and the related registers and record the findings with source references. The investigation is carried out in compliance with the GDPR rules, the applicable privacy rules and local legislation. We agree the scope of the investigation with you in advance, as described in how we work, from request to report. Where relevant and possible, a valuation may form part of the assignment.
When to use it
Substantiating a decision
If, after the pre-check, your case requires further substantiation, for example for a decision on granting, reviewing or terminating.
Assessing recovery
If you are assessing a possible recovery and need more insight into the property situation.
Court proceedings
If the findings are contested and the report is submitted as evidence. The judge assesses the evidential value of the documents submitted.
